电饭煲巴斯马蒂米饭 (Dian Fan Bao Ba Si Ma Ti Mi Fan)
I have experimented many Indian curries recently, steamed basmati rice is an indispensable companion for those spicy curries. I tried to use rice cooker to cook basmati rice, it turned out to be very easy and convenient, the result is fluffy and soft rice.

Ingredients
Cooking Time: 60 minutes
Servings: 6-8
Cooking Steps
1. Measure 3 cups of basmati rice, rinse a few times and drain the water, this washes most of the starch off the rice, thus the resulted rice is very fluffy.
2. Put the rinsed rice into a rice cooker, measure 6 cups of water, add 3 tablespoon canola oil, a pinch of salt, mix evenly.
3. Turn on the rice cooker, this might take one hour.
4. Open the cover once the rice cooker indicates the rice is ready, let the hot steam out, use a large wood spoon to gently stir the rice to break it loose.
