10 Minutes Scrambled Egg with Garlic Leaf (10分钟青蒜炒鸡蛋)

10分钟青蒜炒鸡蛋 (10 Fen Zhong Qing Suan Chao Ji Dan)



Scrambled egg with green onion is a classic Chinese breakfast dish, fresh garlic leaf is a great substitute of green onion. Pair this dish with plain sticky rice congee.

Ingredients
  • 3 eggs
  • a bunch of fresh garlic leaf (about 20 grams, the amount can vary)
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1/3  teaspoon salt
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 1-2

Cooking Steps

1. Get a bunch of fresh garlic leaf (checkout how to grow garlic from my new garden blog).
    Rinse clean, fine chop them.

2. Crack 3 eggs into a medium size mixing bowl, add the fine chopped garlic leaf, 1/3 teaspoon salt, mix evenly.


3. Get a small stainless pan (checkout how to turn stainless pan into non sticky pan).
    Add 1 tablespoon canola oil, medium heat for a couple of minutes.


4. Add the egg mixture to the pan, use medium heat to cook for 2 minutes.

5. Stir gently to flip part of the egg mixture.
6. After cooking for couple of minutes, stir more egg and flip it to cook the other side evenly.
